停滯性通膨(stagflation),是指經濟成長停滯與通貨膨脹並存的現象。

此時,國家經濟成長緩慢、物價持續攀升,引發廠商獲利率降低、民間消費支出縮減、失業率攀升等負面現象。

「停滯性通膨」一詞起源於第一次石油危機,當時以阿戰爭石油禁運,導致為期兩年之久的通貨膨脹,同時也造成一九七四年到一九七五年兩年的全球經濟大衰退。

以台灣為例,一九七四年消費者物價(CPI)年增率高達百分之四十七,經濟成長率(GDP)降至百分之一點一,是典型的停滯性通膨。
